Meet Lennaert van 't Loo

by Brand Potential - August 2023

So Lennaert, enlighten us... Why did you want to work for Brand Potential?
Because I feel like you guys are playing at the top of the game in the Netherlands. Being one of the best at something is a proof of great talent, which attract great talent as well ðŸ˜‰.  And I’m so pumped to start learning from all these great people! I already had a bunch of amazing mentors in my life, and I can’t wait to meet new ones.

What exactly will you be doing at Brand Potential?
I will be combining pictures, graphics, and typography to create great packaging design. My focus will be packaging design, but I am also looking forward to mixing it up with some projects that touch other aspects of branding.

How would others describe you?
“He’s an alright dude.” (hopefully)

Tell us about something you're good at, but few people know about you?
Funny question, I was talking about this with a friend a couple of weeks ago and my conclusion was that I’m average in almost everything that I do… but at least I’m consistently average! ðŸ˜‰  When you think about it, isn’t someone always way better at you in everything that you can think of? I’m an ok cook …but not a chef. I can present my work …but I’m no Steve Jobs. I’m a good designer …but I’m not like Paul Rand, Tom Geismar, Sagi Haviv, Aaron Draplin, Chris Do, Lance Wyman. At least, not yet! I’m at peace with this realization and life is great. Wait! I take it back. I’m a really good cook and I can make a mean pasta!

What is the most important thing you have learned in your career?
Consistency & discipline always outperform motivation. Although motivation is a way more relaxed way of being.

What do you still want to achieve in your career?
To become president of the world! FREE ICECREAM FOR EVERYONE! And if that doesn’t work out, I would love to ‘grow’ on a design and strategy level.
